On 17 June 2026, the annual conference of the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce for CFOs was held in Moscow. The event took place within the Tax and Financial Reporting Committee and focused on current issues of tax control, reporting and financial management.
Sterngoff Audit was represented at the conference by Olga Grigorieva, General Director, tax consultant and lead auditor of the company.

Olga Grigorieva gave a presentation titled “Withholding tax risks for payments to foreign organisations. Results of company audits for 2025”.
The presentation focused on the obligations of Russian companies acting as tax agents when making payments to foreign organisations, the application of double taxation treaties, confirmation of beneficial ownership of income and practical risks identified during audits.
Special attention was paid to seven key risks in transactions with non-residents: confirming tax residence, withholding tax in non-cash forms of settlement, payments to related foreign parties, documenting the reality of services, reflecting income in tax agent calculations, distinguishing services of a foreign freight forwarder and issues of controlled debt.
