April 27, 2026, St. Petersburg — The conference for representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises “SMEs 2026: New Challenges, Risks and Opportunities. How to Protect Assets, Manage Risks and Find Financing” was held at the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SPb CCI). The event was organized by the insurance company Turicum, the consulting agency Swilar, the investment company Ricom-Trust and the audit firm Sterngoff Audit.
The event opened with welcoming remarks by Anastasia Dedul, Vice President of the SPb CCI, who emphasized the strategic importance of systematic support for the SME sector as a key driver of the region’s economic development.
“Today, small and medium-sized businesses are not only the foundation of the city economy’s resilience, but also a space for growth, cooperation and the implementation of new solutions. The task of the SPb CCI is to create conditions in which entrepreneurs gain access to practical development tools, build partnerships and find answers to current challenges. Among other things, we pay attention to the protection and registration of rights to the results of intellectual activity, as well as to the formation of proper contractual practice, including the use of arbitration clauses referring disputes to the Branch of the ICAC at the RF CCI in St. Petersburg, which helps reduce legal risks and increase the predictability of cooperation,” Anastasia Dedul noted.
Leading experts in finance, insurance and investment offered participants not merely an analysis of the current situation, but clear, step-by-step tools for protecting business and supporting its development in challenging economic conditions.
Specialists from the insurance company Turicum reviewed new corporate risk patterns and methods for insuring assets. The consulting agency Swilar presented crisis management algorithms, while experts from Ricom-Trust spoke about real opportunities to attract financing despite tight monetary policy. The auditors of Sterngoff Audit, in turn, focused on tax security and ways to minimize claims from regulatory authorities.
The conference confirmed strong demand from the business community for the combined expertise of insurers, lawyers, auditors and investors. Following the event, the organizers announced the release of methodological recommendations and the launch of a series of practical seminars for business owners.
